The Fire Inspector performs field inspections of new and existing structures and facilities to ensure and enforce compliance with all applicable codes and ordinances. Additionally, the Fire Inspector reports to occupancies which have been destroyed or damaged by fire to determine cause and origin or on the basis of complaints filed or reported.

Aaron Stritenberger
Fire Inspector Aaron Stritenberger has served the San Carlos Park Fire Protection and Rescue Service District since 2016. He is a Certified Fire Inspector, Fire Alarm/Burglar Alarm System Agent Card Holder, and an ICC Certified Portable Fire Extinguisher Service Technician.
His accomplishments include being awarded the Unit Citation in 2020. Stritenberger is a member of the Lee County Fire Marshals and Inspectors Association and the United States Army Reserves. He brings 4 years of experience in Fire Alarm Installation and Service and Fire and Life Safety Inspection to the District.

Don Wilkinson
Fire Inspector Don Wilkinson has served the San Carlos Park Fire Protection and Rescue Service District since 2016. He is a Certified Fire Inspector, Certified Firefighter, Certified Pump Operator, Hazardous Materials Technician, Fire Officer I, and holds an Associates Degree in Fire Science. His accomplishments include being awarded the 2018 Employee of the Year and the Unit Citation . Inspector Wilkinson is a member of the Lee County Fire Marshals and Inspectors Association and brings 19 years of Fire Service experience to the District.

Carl Smith
Fire Inspector Carl Smith has served the San Carlos Park Fire Protection and Rescue Service District since 2020. He is a Certified Fire Inspector and served the the City of Pittsburgh for 24 years in the roles of Police Officer and Firefighter, retiring as a Firefighter. He is also a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps and Operation Desert Shield/Storm.
His accomplishments include being awarded the Unit Citation in 2020. Inspector Smith is a member of the Lee County Fire Marshals and Inspectors Association, the Florida Fire Marshals and Inspectors Association, and brings 24 years of public service and Fire Service experience to the District.
